Primary Teeth Extractions
There are two reasons why extraction of primary teeth may be required. The first reason is when a cavity grows rapidly rendering the tooth non-restorable or resulting in an infection of the supporting bone. The second reason is when the tooth is removed for orthodontic reasons. If your child needs a tooth to be extracted, Dr. Fisher or Dr. Reddy will review with you the treatment plan in advance. We would appreciate for you to refrain from using words such as “needle” or “shot” before the visit. Dr. Fisher and Dr. Reddy both have extensive behavior management techniques to make the extraction visit as easy as possible for your child.
